Although we are a small community and many
prefer to conveniently drive themselves where they want to
go, we enjoy all of the transportation benefits of much larger
cities
without
the frustration of traffic jams and long drives. Every service
offered is just a few minutes from your home.
| South Central Transit provides convenient
demand response public transportation service in Centralia
and surrounding communities, using modern air-conditioned
buses. In addition, SCT offers a variety of special trips
to St. Louis for the Fox Theater. The Muni and Cardinal
baseball games as well as transportation to Mid-America
and St. Louis Lambert Airport. |

addition, Metro-Link offers convenient transportation
throughout the St. Louis Metro Area.
Central Municipal Airport at
the east edge of town is large enough to handle corporate
jets. Mid-America Airport is a short 40 minute drive,
while St. Louis Lambert International Airport is just
80 minutes away.
Whether your journey takes you north
south, east or west, Centralia offers the convenience
of 2 crossing interstates, I-64 and I-70. St. Louis is
just 1 hour away, while Chicago and Nashville can be
reached in 4 hours. |
